Beginning early this month, I began having an issue retrieving full text on my feeds. Sometimes the text appears as soon as I request full text. Sometimes I get a timed out message. Most times, after a long wait, I just give up. This problem happens on both my iMac and iPad. I have signed out of BazQux and signed back in, emptied caches, cleared history, restarted both devices, and rebooted my router/modem. All websites I visit load normally. Is anyone else having this problem or have any thoughts? Thank you.
The full text is fetched via the BazQux servers, so it doesn’t depend on the browser, caches or cookies.
It is most likely a site-specific problem. Some sites block BazQux, which can result in a timeout. Which site are you having problems with? (you can send the URL in an email)
The feed I had the most trouble with was: https://feeds.washingtonpost.com/rss/homepage
I also had problems with: https://nypost.com/business/feed/
All of my feeds that required retrieving text gave me problems, but the two above were the worst.
There’s good news since I sent my email. Yesterday morning all my feeds that had to retrieve text retrieved their text right away. Nothing had changed on my end. Thank you for getting back. I welcome any suggestions, if you have any.
