I don’t think rss.app “brought it back”,
they always had it,
I don’t know how they do it of course and I don’t think anyone does
Readwise Reader has it too in same way. Fetching feeds in widget style inside the reader so that posts look like when they get embedded to share on websites
I don’t think Bazqux should spend any development effort on supporting extremist site owned by a self-confessed nazi.
I agree that such people shouldn’t be supported but there’s still a huge community of normal people that enjoys using the platform for different reasons and it’s not their fault in which hands or control it currently is
Normal people should’ve long migrated off that cesspool to a normal platforms, not financed by a nazi. It’s not their fault who controls it, but it’s their fault to continue to use it.
It doesn’t matter how many ppl leave, where you go or if you close your eyes, it won’t make the site disappear, and any other alternative is neither free from extremists or stupid ppl.
Many have stayed on X because it still can be used as carefree as used to be. Others stay to not let idiots do as they please with their “free speech” by confronting and calling them out. In the end it will always be the platform with the biggest reach and many make use of it to make the owner look like a fool and lunatic in many different ways
